Line Upon Line- The 4 Steps of Preparedness
Donna Sibbald- BIO
Preparedness can look like an overwhelming goal, but it is easy and natural if you break it down into logical steps. Will it cost a lot of money? Actually, it can SAVE you money, and it can bring the peace of mind that is beyond price. You can choose how much you will do, and set your own pace in becoming prepared. This class emphasizes local and church resources and a step by step approach, here a little and there a little.

Building a Strong Financial Foundation to Withstand the Storms of Life
Rob Ostler-BIO
The scriptures tell us that the wise man built his house upon the rock, and when the rain descended and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, it fell not. Like the wise man's house, our financial foundations need to be built on a solid ground. To that end, we will discuss how we can apply the church's practices of "living within a budget, avoiding debt, and saving against a time of need" to prepare for life's financial storms.

Gardening in Small Spaces
Jared Peterson-BIO
Come roll up your sleeves, and join us in this workshop, as we will examine creative ways to maximize gardening space by using ideas such as patio containers, vertical gardening, raised beds and . Learn about soil prep, choosing plants suited for your growing space, succession planting, crop rotation, and how to keep potential problems under control. With some dedication and hard work, we can all make the most of the small spaces that we have to garden.

Be of Good Cheer and Do Not Fear
Nicole Kummala-BIO
Most of us have thought about how to prepare for storms, blizzards, and tornadoes. We have seen and felt the suffering of men, women, and children, and of the aged and of the weak, caught in hurricanes, wars and droughts. One reaction is to ask, “How can I be prepared?” And there is a rush to buy water and the basic necessities and whatever people think they might need for the day they might face such calamities.
But there is a a far more important preparation we must make for tests that will come to each of us. What we will need during these disasters can’t be bought. It can’t be borrowed. It doesn’t store well. And it has to have been used regulary and recently. What we need in our day of calamity is a spiritual preparation. “Wherefore, be of good cheer, and do not fear, for I the Lord am with you, and will stand by you. D&C 68:6.
